About the position:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Strategic Analyst where you will recommend and support a best-for-business outcome based on corporate requirements, asset condition, risk and other key business drivers. This is achieved through interpretation of short, near and far term asset related risk/opportunities in a corporate context and the facilitation, collaboration, development and effective communication of strategic management plans, executive papers and investment requests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake capability and risk assessments for nominated assets.
- Contribute to preparing the Strategic Asset Plan and Long-range Budget.
- Building strong working partnerships with stakeholders.
- Develop and enhance corporate risk reporting and asset risk management.
- Drive continuous efficiency, quality, process and end user experience improvements.
- Present strategic matters, tailored to audiences across the business and partners.
- Influence stakeholders to ensure the team can extract the information required for setting long-term strategies
- Provide leadership, monitoring and support through the project life cycle (proposal to benefits realisation).
- Develop business cases for CAPEX and OPEX programs.
About you:
- A tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline (commerce, asset management, engineering, CA/CPA qualified, etc).
- 8+ years experience in asset management for utilities, heavy industries or mining preferred.
- An electrical, mechanical, civil or power engineering background is desirable.
- Strong influential verbal and written communication.
- Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder facilitation and collaboration.
- Previous experience in the use of Confluence, Jira, Power BI, Copperleaf. MS Project is desirable.
