About the position:

We have exciting opportunity for a Software Developer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in building robust, secure, and scalable full-stack solutions. As a Software Developer, you'll be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable full-stack .Net solutions across various cloud platforms. This role involves actively collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading code reviews, implementing DevOps practices, and championing continuous improvement to achieve our strategic objectives.

 

This hybrid permanent full-time position can be based out of our Sydney, Melbourne or Cooma offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, building, and testing robust, performance-optimised full-stack software solutions that are scalable, adaptable, and agile, aligning with business requirements and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Ensuring a "security by design" approach is implemented and followed on all projects and requests you're involved in.
    Leading and facilitating Code Reviews, ensuring adherence to development standards, broader enterprise standards (e.g., Security, Infrastructure), and industry best practices (e.g., OWASP).
  • Owning, designing, and developing various supporting components required throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and into production, including Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps Components (e.g., CI/CD pipelines and various shell and database scripts).
  • Maintaining and providing second/third-line support to existing software applications and solutions through feature enhancements or incident management.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures, as-built documentation, development standards, technical specifications, and manuals.
  • Collaborating with the team to provide accurate estimations for technical deliverables and ensuring sufficient test coverage of code while supporting the testing team.
  • Continuously researching and evaluating emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively drive improvements in software and development processes.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in a computing discipline and/or 5+ years in Software Development.
  • Proven experience in .NET technologies. including Full Framework, in delivering thick clients, APIs, enterprise backend applications and web-based solutions
  • Proficiency in C#, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Demonstrated experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP cloud technologies (traditional, containers, Serverless mechanism).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Git.
  • Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL, Memory[Redis], Blob Storage) and web technologies (Rest, GraphQL, HTTP/2, gRPC, API Gateways).
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes (CICD) and security frameworks (OWASP Top 10)
  • Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
