About the position:

Are you an experienced Scrum Master with a passion for guiding teams through agile transformations, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement? We are seeking a Scrum Master to play a pivotal role in our evolving delivery landscape.

As a Scrum Master at Snowy Hydro, you will be a key driver in our journey towards a more agile, Scrum-based delivery model. You'll act as a servant-leader and agile coach, empowering a cross-functional team. This is about hands-on team support, proactive removal of obstacles, and genuinely mentoring our teams to embrace Scrum methodologies and achieve their sprint goals.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, understands the nuances of transitioning from traditional to agile practices, and can adapt their approach. Your ability to build strong relationships and engage teams will be crucial to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate key Agile ceremonies like Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Guide and mentor development teams on Agile principles and best practices to build high-performing, self-organising teams.

• Push the team to deliver sprint goals and support effective sprint planning.

• Proactively identify and help resolve impediments impacting team progress.

• Create a collaborative and safe team environment that encourages open communication and continuous improvement.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of team workflows and delivery practices.

• Work with stakeholders to report on sprint progress, velocity, and defect trends.

About you:

• 5+ years as a Scrum Master supporting Agile teams.

• Strong understanding of Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.

• Proven ability to mentor and guide teams through agile transitions.

• Flexible approach to agile implementation in a transitional environment.

• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, able to engage all stakeholders.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Experienced with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, Reetro, and Trello.

• Natural ability to build strong connections within the team and with stakeholders.
