About the position:

Are you a seasoned Change Management professional with a passion for technology and a talent for leadership? Snowy Hydro is seeking a dynamic and experienced Change Manager Team Lead, Technology to establish, govern, and continuously improve our change management practice for a diverse portfolio of technology projects and initiatives.

 

This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring that technology changes are implemented smoothly and effectively across the organisation. You will lead a high-performing team of change management professionals, drive the adoption of best practices, and work closely with senior leaders, project managers, and stakeholders to minimise disruption, maximise adoption, and enable the organisation to realise the full benefits of its technology investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change Management Practice Leadership: Develop and maintain a comprehensive change management framework and methodology for technology. Establish and ensure consistent application of standards, processes, and best practices across the technology portfolio. Define and track KPIs for change management effectiveness.
  • Strategic Impact: Assess organisational readiness for large-scale technological shifts, evaluate the impact of technology on organisational culture and business models, and oversee change management activities for technology projects, ensuring strategic alignment.
  • Team & Stakeholder Empowerment: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing change management team. Provide strategic guidance to project teams, manage resource allocation and vendor relationships, and foster strong relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Project Lifecycle & Communication: Drive the project lifecycle by establishing effective communication channels and reporting rhythms, ensuring all activities are coordinated and progress smoothly.
  • Safety Leadership: Demonstrate and drive the highest level of focus on safety, leading by example and promoting engagement in safety programmes.

About the location:

While our preferred location for this role is Sydney, we are open to considering strong applicants based in Melbourne or Cooma. The successful candidate must be able to collaborate effectively with our Sydney-based team, which may include occasional travel or flexible working arrangements to ensure seamless communication and alignment across all Snowy office sites. 

About you:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organisational Psychology, Information Systems, or a related field, or relevant industry experience.
  • Possesses minimum 5 years of experience in change management, with at least 5 years specifically leading change management for technology projects and programs.
  • Has demonstrated experience in developing and implementing change management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of change management professionals.
  • Has a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Possesses experience with large-scale organisational change efforts, particularly related to technology implementations.
  • (Highly Desirable) Holds a change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP, ACMP).
