About Snowy:
Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. -
Be the Eyes and Ears on Site: You will spend your time where the action is—at the active work fronts. You’ll keep detailed daily records, take photos, and monitor everything from the weather to equipment levels to ensure productivity stays high
-
Lead with Heart and Safety: You aren’t just managing a checklist; you’re looking out for your team. You will coach your staff, solve problems together, and ensure everyone goes home safely by maintaining the highest health and safety standard.
-
Collaborative Oversight: You will work hand-in-hand with contractors and internal stakeholders, using your interpersonal skills to resolve conflicts and build the strong partnerships necessary to meet shared goals.
- Quality Assurance: You’ll be the champion for quality, ensuring all works align with the latest specifications and that every detail—from plant schedules to weather conditions—is accurately recorded.
About the location:
This role will require you to be 100% on-site within the Snowy Mountains, working off a 14/7 FIFO roster. Standard FIFO camp-style arrangements are included.
About you:
-
Expertise: You hold a degree in Engineering or Construction/Project Management and have 8-15 years of experience delivering major infrastructure projects
-
Contractor & Consultant Management: Extensive experience in supervising and negotiating with external contractors and specialist consultants
-
Communication: You are a skilled negotiator who can effectively influence and communicate with everyone from onsite crews to senior management
-
