Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and streamline payroll systems using industry best practices to drive efficiency
  • Partner with the Payroll Manager, People Services, and Finance to identify and implement system enhancements

  • Proactively implement End of Financial Year (EOFY) changes and manage complex STP reporting requirements

  • Ensure strict compliance for both Accumulation and Defined Benefits schemes, including Clearing House management

  • Execute robust reconciliations and exception-based checking to validate all payroll outputs

  • Serve as the primary contact for the Retail business and third-party support, providing expert guidance on complex payroll issues

  • Act as a liaison between Finance and People Services to ensure seamless system integration and reporting

  • Prepare and submit mandatory payroll reports to internal management and external regulatory bodies

  • Participate in and provide analysis for internal and external audit activities, ensuring all activities align with Australian regulations, Retail policy, and delegated authorities

About you:

  • 5+ years of experience in payroll systems administration, ideally in a senior consultative role
  • Proven ability to manage End of Financial Year activities and robust reconciliation tasks
  • Technical proficiency in SQL or collaborative tools is highly regarded, alongside a background in Accounting, Finance, or HR
  • Resilience and Agility to deliver data analysis across multiple business units in a dynamic environment
