About the position:
We are currently seeking an IT Strategy and Performance Lead to join our Technology department.
Based in either Sydney or Melbourne, this central position serves as the strategic hub and performance scorekeeper for the Technology department. The role acts as a critical bridge between strategy formulation and operational execution, bringing diverse stakeholders together across all IT pillars to enable the CIO to drive the technology transformation roadmap effectively.
Key Responsibilities:

Leading the integrated technology planning cycle to ensure the CIO's strategy is actively operationalised across all technology pillars (Infrastructure, Applications, Cyber Security, etc.).

Partnering with IT leadership to translate business strategy into a unified, high-level technology roadmap spanning operational excellence, growth, and core transformation.

Establishing and owning the comprehensive IT metrics framework, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to measure the department's "performance to target."

Leading the operational function of the Office of the CIO, driving cross-functional collaboration, breaking down silos, and acting as the strategic interface between leadership teams.

Consolidating complex, cross-departmental data into high-impact executive briefings, dashboards, and reports directly for the CIO, Executive Committee, and Board.

Design and orchestrate executive-level technology governance forums, ensuring rigorous preparation of strategic decision papers and business cases.

Driving a high-performance culture of accountability across IT by providing absolute transparency into how well the department is delivering against its commitments.
About the location:
This position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
About you:

You hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Information Technology, Commerce, or a related discipline (Postgraduate qualifications or an MBA are highly regarded).

You bring significant experience operating within an Office of the CIO, IT Strategy function, or as an executive-level Chief of Staff within a complex corporate or enterprise environment.

You possess exceptional commercial and strategic acumen with a proven track record of translating high-level business strategy into actionable, department-wide technology roadmaps.

You have demonstrated success designing, implementing, and maturing enterprise-wide technology performance frameworks (KPIs/SLOs).

You exhibit superior communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence, advise, and build trust with the CIO and senior executives.

You possess a unique capability for systems thinking—operating at a highly abstract, strategic level while maintaining the organizational discipline required to ensure teams deliver to target.

You are an expert at cross-functional orchestration, with a proven ability to break down departmental silos and build consensus among technical pillar heads.
