About the position:

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Service Desk Technician to join our high-performing team in Cooma. This role is ideal for someone who prides themselves on excellent customer focus and the ability to problem-solve and multitask. You will be primarily responsible for managing IT incidents and requests for over 600 employees and contractors across our generation assets throughout NSW, VIC, and SA.

 

What our typical day looks like:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support as part of the Service Desk team to users across the entire business.
  • Communicate clearly, take ownership of resolving issues and fulfilling requests, and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Deploy new laptops, PCs, mobiles, tablets, printers, and other technology across the business.
  • Maintain internal documentation, including procedures, processes, and asset registers.
  • Travel regularly to regional sites to provide support.

 

We’re ideally looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a vast array of ICT Applications, Systems, and Processes, including:
    • ITIL processes and procedures.
    • Ticketing systems (ServiceNow or similar).
    • Support of Windows 10 and ChromeOS environments.
    • Microsoft Active Directory Administration.
    • Knowledge and experience of consumer devices, including iOS and Android operating systems.
    • Wide knowledge of Google and Microsoft suite of products.
  • Previous experience in an ICT role providing 1st and 2nd level support in a Service Desk environment.
  • Ability to engage with customers in remote operational locations, requiring strong written and verbal communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage own workload within a Service Desk environment as part of a high-performing team.
  • Sound analytical skills with the ability to identify service improvements and provide solutions.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
