About the position:

Snowy 2.0 is looking for a Senior Project Acceleration and Efficiency Specialist

This role will be in the Snowy 2.0 Project Acceleration Team, which is tasked with driving efficiency improvements with the main contractor. The goal is to collaboratively create and execute initiatives to help improve productivity and eliminate schedule risk across specified work fronts in constructing Snowy 2.0.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with on-site Snowy Hydro Limited (SHL) resources and the main contractor to identify initiatives that can accelerate or de-risk the work.

  • Develop, implement and govern acceleration initiatives ensuring they are fully adopted by the main contractor.

  • Quantify and record potential improvements, measuring productivity and success.

  • Combine data analysis, alongside practical on-the-ground engagement with site teams, developing strong relationships with engineers, supervisors and Project Managers.

  • Update and adapt dedicated initiatives as required to maximise their impact and as circumstances change.

About the location:

This role is based in Cooma, NSW working Monday to Friday, this role will require travel to various project sites within Snowy 2.0

About you:

  • Minimum Masters Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Energy) 

  • The ideal candidate will have 6 to10 years of experience as a consultant with a background in power-stations (fossil or renewable) or water infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated experience managing continuous improvement

  • Demonstrated experience driving productivity improvements in large energy infrastructure projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to recognise the need for and benefits of potential improvements.

  • Proficient in data analysis, with the ability to interpret project plans,shift reports, and other relevant documents to provide actionable insights for improvemen
