About the position:
A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Payroll Consultant to join our high performing team. This full-time role offers the benefit of a 9 day fortnight, playing a key part in ensuring that Snowy Hydro Limited employees are paid accurately and on time, every time.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will bring a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service to all stakeholders involved in the end-to-end payroll process.
Key responsibilities:

Process fortnightly end-to-end payroll using ECP Payroll practices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Understand the technical integration and relationship between SAP EC and ECP payroll systems

Apply and comply with payroll-related legislation and regulations within payroll operations

Perform manual pay calculations and adjustments when required

Maintain a strong understanding of employee pay records from commencement through to cessation

Maintain and continuously improve ECP payroll processes and documentation to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Monitor and maintain accurate records of superannuation fund membership and contributions across all superannuation fund providers

Monitor regional pay inputs for accuracy, consistency, and validity

Anticipate and ensure compliance with payroll-related legislative and regulatory changes

Provide subject matter expertise (SME) support for ECP payroll in relevant projects as required
About the location:
Whilst Cooma is home to our head office, this role can be based in our Cooma, Melbourne, or Sydney offices, with hybrid working arrangements available for the right candidate. Relocation assistance is available for those interested in moving to Cooma.

About you:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Australian Payroll Operations, Payroll Administration, or similar roles.

Highly self-motivated with a meticulous attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over your work

Highly customer-focused, with a strong commitment to supporting all customers and stakeholders

Excellent numerical and analytical skills, proficient in interpreting payroll results and identifying discrepancies

Ability to work under limited direction by effectively identifying and prioritising competing work requirements while meeting service delivery expectations

Collaborative and productive approach to working in an agile team environment

Awareness of the confidential nature of payroll information and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data

Knowledge and experience working with SAP EC and ECP payroll systems (essential)
