A full-time position exists for a Manager Accommodation & Facilities to join the Operations Services in Cooma.
About the position:
As the Manager Accommodation & Facilities you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of accommodation and facility services for employees, contractors, and new starters across all Hydro regions. In this role, you will ensure that all company-managed accommodation and facilities remain safe, welcoming, and operationally efficient. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing the performance of external service providers, such as those handling cleaning and bistro operations, to effectively support these essential functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and servicing for all Snowy Hydro managed accommodation and the Cooma Office Complex to ensure they meet operational needs.
- Manage and maintain major service and logistics contracts for essential functions, including cleaning, grounds keeping, security, and the Cabramurra Bar & Bistro.
- Ensure all owned or rented accommodation is consistently maintained to a "move-in ready" standard for employees, contractors, and new starters.
- Manage the booking, servicing, and overall operation of accommodation facilities within the Cabramurra Township.
- Oversee the front desk reception team and manage critical facilities support systems, such as access control, Building Management Systems (BMS), and maintenance software.
- Develop and implement documented emergency management strategies while serving as the primary escalation point for resolving resident grievances related to facilities.
- Execute procurement and competitive tender processes, focusing on risk mitigation and commercial strategy.

The position features flexible working arrangements, requiring three days a week minimum in office or site as the role dictates. At times travel across sites will also be required as part of this role.
About you:
- Degree qualification in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline, or proven industry experience.
- At least 5+ years of experience in a senior accommodation management role, such as managing remote mining camps, or large-scale corporate housing, and or facilities.
- Proven experience managing million-dollar budgets and overseeing complex vendor contracts.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships and present complex strategic plans to executive leadership.
- A "calm under pressure" mindset with the proven ability to multitask and prioritise effectively, essential for handling facilities emergencies and resolving operational challenges to ensure seamless service continuity.
- A commitment to leading a proactive safety culture by verifying "ground truth" in the field and driving accountability for safety.
- Proven ability to develop strategic initiatives and oversee comprehensive building compliance across diverse facility portfolios.
