Snowy 2.0, currently under construction, is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
About the position:
As our Governance Coordinator, you won’t just be ticking compliance boxes or pushing paperwork. Reporting directly to the Governance and Stakeholder Lead, you’ll be a trusted partner across the Snowy 2. team, helping teams to achieve the Snowy 2.0 vision
If you have an audit background, experience in project or program management and bring a sharp eye for detail, this role offers an exciting opportunity to drive key strategic meetings and stand up governance frameworks
Key Responsibilities:

Governance Meeting Leadership: Plan, drive, and manage strategic governance meetings across diverse workstreams and external partners, ensuring clear objectives and actionable outcomes are achieved.

Audit & Compliance Support: Support obligations and findings related to external bodies (e.g., ANAO) as well as leading internal audits to ensure alignment across all teams.

Governance Setup: Assist in standing up robust governance frameworks, new tracking mechanisms, and developing strategies within key project workstreams

Tracking & Progress Coordination: Execute, monitor, and continuously refine governance processes moving forward.

Special Projects: Support and drive special projects to deliver continuous improvement across the Snowy 2.0 initiative.
About the location:
While this role would require some travel to our Head Office in Cooma, NSW, there is strong flexibility across this for the right candidate.
About you:

Audit Background: Prior experience in assurance, auditing, or compliance, with a strong commitment to proving facts through data and rigorous verification.

Governance Experience: Proven track record in coordinating, managing, and maintaining structured governance processes in a project-driven environment.

Meticulous Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a sharp eye for accuracy and consistency across complex documentation.

Strategic Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to pull together diverse groups, balance competing priorities, and communicate key efficiency messages clearly.

Adaptable & Delivery-Focused: High accountability and motivation to take ownership of initiatives from strategic planning through to execution
