The Role

As the Environmental Rehabilitation Supervisor reporting to the Site Environmental Coordinator, you’ll take a hands-on, site-based role (14/7 roster) driving exceptional rehabilitation across Snowy 2.0 work sites. You’ll be the crucial link connecting environmental governance, construction teams, and assurance experts, and leading supplier coordination and monitoring progress to deliver outstanding environmental results.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Coordination

  • Develop and implement rehabilitation strategies aligned with regulations and project goals. Monitor timelines and manage rehabilitation materials.

Field and Site Management

  • Lead site prep, planting, weed control, and maintenance to meet rehabilitation plans. Conduct inspections and guide contractors on-site.

Documentation and Compliance

  • Prepare scopes of work, schedules, RFQs, and assist with environmental and safety plans. Keep accurate records of rehabilitation activities.

Collaboration

  • Work with the Rehabilitation Lead to improve systems. Support inspections and environmental monitoring to ensure compliance.

Stakeholder and Team Engagement

  • Coordinate with contractors and project teams to align resources and timelines. Build strong relationships to ensure smooth delivery.

What You'll Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or a related field is required, along with proven experience in a similar role within mining, civil construction, utilities, or related industries. You’ll be skilled in planning, scheduling, and monitoring rehabilitation, with Australian alpine experience highly valued. Proactive and detail-oriented, you adapt well to changing tasks and environments while supporting your team through transitions. You’re also adept at spotting issues and opportunities, making timely decisions, developing creative solutions, and knowing when to seek help.
