About the position:

We are seeking a qualified electrical tradesperson to provide mentorship and technical training to our apprentices, to support them with their training plans and completion of TAFE units. This is a casual position, working an average of 10 days per month across the year. You will be required to work in our regions of Khancoban, Cooma, Talbingo, Cabramurra and Jindabyne in NSW.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical skills training: Mentoring and training apprentices to support in meeting the requirements of their training plans and TAFE units. Provide instruction and tutoring in technical skills not readily obtainable in the Apprentice role and assist in catch up work.

  • Support TAFE delivery: Provide updates and feedback on apprentice progress and areas for development as well as improvement for training delivery. Provide annual apprentice training schedules and identify equipment and tool requirements for training 

  • Provide Trade expertise: Develop and facilitate workshop and skills sessions, including foundation skills and ongoing on the job training

About you:

  • Previous experience in a training role, ideally through an RTO such as TAFE NSW

  • Trade qualification in Electrotechnology 

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to instruct, teach and develop skills in a nurturing and supportive and safe environment
