The Role

Join our team as a Package Coordinator – E&M and play a key role in delivering one of Australia’s most exciting engineering projects! You’ll help drive the coordination and development of E&M installation and construction packages, ensuring the team is ready for every stage of delivery. Working alongside industry leaders from Voith, subcontractors, and FGJV, you’ll be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment bringing world-class engineering to life.

 

We offer an initial 2-year contract, with the possibility of extension. Working a 14 days on / 7 days off (FIFO) roster, or a standard 5/2 (DIDO) roster if you are already located within the Snowy Mountains Region.

Key Responsibilities:

Work Package Coordination & Quality Control

  • Coordinate and align all Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) work packages with the overall project program and civil works.

  • Monitor progress, quality, and priorities of all assigned work, ensuring continuous improvement.

  • Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to ensure clarity, alignment, and readiness for work execution.

 

Readiness Optimisation & Compliance

  • Verify readiness by coordinating reviews of designs, risk assessments, and safety documentation before work commences.

  • Develop and track work package readiness deliverables and timelines.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for schedule and cost improvements across project delivery.

 

Project Closeout & System Readiness

  • Support project reporting, progress tracking, and corrective actions.

  • Assist with documentation reviews, defect resolution, and readiness checks across all disciplines.

  • Monitor E&M installation progress and integration.

  • Support audits, commissioning, and technical closeout activities for successful project handover.

About you:

You'll bring to the team experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects (both Greenfield and Brownfield), underpinned by a recognised tertiary degree in Engineering or Construction/Project Management. You’ll have proven project leadership in managing multiple contract interfaces, a deep commitment to safety, and highly regarded knowledge of E&M installation. Crucially, you must be able to work autonomously, set priorities, adapt quickly to changing demands, and use excellent communication skills to build strong relationships and liaise effectively with all stakeholders, from site teams to external clients.with the ability to work independently and prioritise objectives effectively, adapting quickly and constructively to changing demands.
